• Fact. Charlotte twin sister of Daniel Thomas (above) was born near Kapunda on 6th April 1879. Both the twins were registered by Mary Ellen TOWNSEND, the grandmother. Charlotte was registered as the daughter of Thomas and Lydia TOWNSEND. In fact she was the twin sister of Daniel Thomas. Charlotte died at Coonatto on 26th December 1879 aged 8 months. Her death was registered as 'Charlet Maud'. She was buried in the Wilmington Cemetery.
Cemetery Records gives her father as John Henry TOWNSEND of Coonatto. Cert. No. 99/172.
D. Fro. Theresa and John Henry at the time of their birth had 5 children living under 5 years which included a set of twins. They had also lost their first born Mary.
