• Fact 1. Ethel trained at London district Babies Hospital. Moved from hospital to hospital and eventually to Poland as a governess.
She married Louis LLoyd Jones in London. Marriage was unsuccesful. Ethel went to Chicago and ran a posh nursing home with her adopted daughter Mary.
Later in life a rich patient wished to marry Ethel. To his childrens' relief she was unable to get an annulment from Louis and as she was an ardent Roman Catholic the marriage did not occur. Papers sent to Louis were returned with "nonsense" scribbled across the pages. This is because she was arguing non cosummation of the marriage.
Ethel married Louis Lloyd Jones.
