Eliza Gertrude Paddock
Noted events in her life were: • Immigration. Eliza was the daughter of Mr. Richard Paddock, of Houlston hall, Ellesmere, Shropshire, England, and arrived with her parents in the ship Caroline in 1851. She settled at Weyford Springs, near Tanunda, and married in February, 1865. She had left a family of five daughters and one son - Mr. W.E. Hamp, of Port Pirie. Two sons predeceased her. • Obituary. The death is announced of Mrs. W.A. Hamp, of Eastwood terrace, Eastwood. She was the daughter of Mr. Richard Paddock, of Houlston hall, Ellesmere, Shropshire, England, and arrived with her parents in the ship Caroline in 1851. Eliza married William Arthur Hamp, son of John Hamp and Sarah Emily Chipp, on 4 Feb 1865 in Sheoak Log, South Australia. (William Arthur Hamp was born on 24 Jul 1837 in Ealing, Middlesex, England and died on 27 Apr 1912 in Parkside, Adelaide, South Australia.) |
