Frank Ernest Skinner

  Noted events in his life were:

• Fact 1. Frank went to school at Hurstpierspoint in Sussex, England. The 1891 census lists Frank as attending Hurstpierpoint "age 10" and born in "Middlesex London". He was born at 5 Medina Rd. Islington East, County of Middlesex. The family moved to 29 Palmeira Square House Sussex. Frank left for Canada on November 1, 1904. He went to Montreal. In Montreal the last place Nora and Frank lived was Apt. 12, 5025 Clanranald Ave., NDG Montreal. After that they lived for a time with Joan at 37 Oxford Rd. After Frank died Nora eventually moved to a nursing home in Valois. Per Linda Skinner she felt that Frank came to
Canada to look for business opportunities in Canada for the family business. He landed in Montreal and instead got a job in an accounting office. He did this for one or two years and then got a job with the CPR in Winnipeg. Per Ken Carlyle, "Frank was in the accounting department. Uncle Frank was a typical accountant, in my opinion. He was tall, lean, with balding dark hair and a rather hawk like nose."

Frank married Nora Mary Evans, daughter of Arthur Henry Evans and Amy Martha Gigney. (Nora Mary Evans was born on 12 Aug 1879 in Hackney, St John, Middlesex, England and died on 20 Sep 1971 in Point Claire, Quebec, Canada.)
