Sarah Ann Burden

- Buried: New St Cemetery, Ledbury.
Cause of her death was Carcinoma of Pylorus.
General Notes:
The hearse and mourning coaches were from the Royal Oak Hotel, Ledbury.
The bearers were Messrs: W. Lewis, W. Pitt, J. Jessett, and F. Malpas.
The funeral service was conducted by The Rev Basil Martin (of Hereford) and the Rev W. Pontifex
(Baptist Minister).
The chief mourners were: Mr Fredrick John Burden (Chippenham), Mrs Frederick Burden (Kildare Cheltenham) and Miss Weston. Mr Frederick Burden (brother) of Cheltenham was unable to be present owing to advancing years.
Others to attend were the Rev H.A.Barnes (Congregational Minister) Mr J.Boyd and Mr W.H. Horton.
Sarah Ann was the Secretary of the Ledbury Women's Temperance Association and also part time treasurer from it's commencement.
